Commissioner
Scott Wagner was elected to the board of commissioners
in 2000. His portfolios include the Sheriff's
Department, Jail, Juvenile Detention Center and Disaster
Emergency Services. Current committee assignments include
Social Services Board, Personnel Overview, Road Advisory
and County Park Board. He also has been appointed to
the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corporation
Board.
Wagner was
born in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He was raised in Ulen,
Minnesota, and Mesa, Arizona. He attended North
Dakota State University, graduating with a bachelor
of science degree in political science in 1997. Wagner
also was an employee of the North Dakota Senate during
the 1995 legislative session. He currently serves
on the North Dakota County Commissioners Association
Board of Directors as immediate past president and serves
on the Board of Directors of the National Conference
of Republican County Officials.
Wagner is
the owner of Wagner Window Cleaning Company of Fargo-Moorhead.
His goals as a county commissioner include economic development, efficient use of tax dollars and long term planning. |
