Commissioner
Ken Pawluk was elected to the board of commissioners
in 2004, and currently serves as Chairman. His
portfolios include the Auditor, Treasurer, Recorder,
Tax Assessor, Information Technology and County Administrator.
Current committee assignments include Social Services
Board, Personnel Overview, Road Advisory, County Park
Board, Lake Agassiz Regional Development Corporation
and an alternate member of the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan
Council of Governments.
Pawluk is
a resident of the City of Fargo, a graduate of Fargo
South High School, and he attended NDSU. He currently
is a property and farm manager. Pawluk and his
wife, June, are the parents of two adult children, Adam
and Erika. Pawluk's background includes 19 years as
owner of Pawluk Champion Auto and 8 years of active
farming.
Pawluk currently
is a member and past chairman of the Fargo Municipal
Airport Authority. He has served as a board member
and President of the Fargo Moorhead YMCA. Pawluk
is a member and past President of the Great Western
Exchange Club of Fargo, a local service club.
He is a member and former council member of First Lutheran
Church in Fargo. Pawluk serves as President of
the North Dakota Horse Park Foundation and President
of the Red River Harness Club. He also is the
founding member of the Sheyenne National Grasslands
Trail Association.
